The ranking of the Moscow schools in PISA is comparable with the results of such recognized best schools in the world as the schoolsof Shanghai (China), Singapore, Hong Kong (China). Their resultsoutperform the most of OECD countries. Regarding the quality ofeducation, Russia is going to become one of the top 10 countries by the end of 2024. Each country’s position in this ranking list is going to be based on PIRLS, TIMSS, and PISA research. The global system changes of secondary education in Moscow, addressed inthe article, will appeal, therefore, to policy-makers and researchers seeking to understand the quality-of-education related processes in the Russian regions</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Школа</kwd><kwd>качество образования</kwd><kwd>образовательные результаты</kwd><kwd>международное исследование PISA</kwd><kwd>система московского образования</kwd><kwd>рейтинг</kwd><kwd>норматив подушевого финансирования</kwd><kwd>формульное финансирование</kwd><kwd>аттестация директоров школ</kwd><kwd>дополнительное образование</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>school</kwd><kwd>the quality of education</kwd><kwd>learning outcomes</kwd><kwd>Programme for International Student Assessment</kwd><kwd>Moscow education system</kwd><kwd>ranking</kwd><kwd>formula financing</kwd><kwd>certification of school principals</kwd><kwd>complementary education.</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Чернобай Е.
