Abstract

Postsecular society, the modern supercomplex world is set by
some not trivial tasks for the educational system of both the Russian Orthodox Church and other religious organizations of Russia.
The main problem, in this case, is not at all reduced to a competitive situation for theological and logical faculties or the “employment” of graduate clergymen.
The main questions that the author seeks to answer are the further fate of religious ed-ucation as an integral part of the spiritual
tradition. Can religious educational institutions, with their sovereign status organically fit into the national education system that
was subject to cyclical transformations? What criteria can be used
to evaluate the ed-ucational activities of seminaries, and how to
outline the ways of their further development? The article seeks to
find solutions to these and other problems facing by religious education in the context of global change of the modern world.
