The key social value of education as one of the basic areas of
public life in contemporary social conditions gives a rise to a lot
of discussions. One of the key issues of them in leg al studies is
the problem of what education really is as a phenomenon of social life and how does this concept correspond to related notions.
Here are fragments of the report “Invisible Leaders of the
Networked World: Digital Citizens start and win” on the project “Youth Leadership Potential as a resource for social development”. The researchers focused on potential latent leadership in the context of self-organization of complex systems.
The article provides an overview of the Tyumen region education system's successful reformation based on the analysis of the
literature published in the 2000s. The shift to normative per capita financing and a new wage payment system are also examined in the article. In addition, the author presents the continuity and
interconnection of changes in the Tyumen region education, the
priority national project "Education", the complex project of education modernization and reforms in the Moscow education system from 2011 to 2020
The article presents the analysis of the novel approach to the
admissions to the 10th grade by the Lyceum of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA). The new approach was developed as a response to the COVID-related constraints, preventing the use of the earlier established non-distant admissions formats. The particular focus of this article are the oral interviews in Russian language, comprising the tailored tests on erudition, analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to handle open questions.
Goal. The admissions case analysis to determine the best criteria and methods of selecting students from the pool of Lyceum
applicants.
Methodology. The article is a case study, comprising the goal
setting, the practical solution, and the analysis of the results.
Results. The article highlights the controversial and ambiguous circumstances of the admissions to selective schools and
presents the specific way to address them, open for further
improvements. The scientific novelty of the article consists of the uniqueness of the described case and the depth of its analysis.
Practical importance. The results can be used in admissions to
similarly specialised classes in high school.
This work continues a series of articles that present a complete
consolidated picture of the Federal State Educational Standards
(FSES) existing today. The first part described the problem associated with the mixing of the functional purposes of the FSES and considered the main stages of their evolution since 1992. The presented work examines the key differences between the replaced and the current generations of the FSES. The results of a review of works devoted to the Federal State Educational Standard are also presented. Despite the important role of the Federal State Educational Standard in the field of education, a systematic study
of the standards themselves is practically not carried out due to
constant significant changes, a large amount of information, and
mixing of different functions in one document. In the future, the
author will propose new methods for studying the Federal State
Educational Standard, necessary for the adequacy and scientific
justification of future changes in standardization.
Postsecular society, the modern supercomplex world is set by
some not trivial tasks for the educational system of both the Russian Orthodox Church and other religious organizations of Russia.
The main problem, in this case, is not at all reduced to a competitive situation for theological and logical faculties or the “employment” of graduate clergymen.
The main questions that the author seeks to answer are the further fate of religious ed-ucation as an integral part of the spiritual
tradition. Can religious educational institutions, with their sovereign status organically fit into the national education system that
was subject to cyclical transformations? What criteria can be used
to evaluate the ed-ucational activities of seminaries, and how to
outline the ways of their further development? The article seeks to
find solutions to these and other problems facing by religious education in the context of global change of the modern world.
The Chinese leadership modifies many political educational
measures in the 2010-s. The article reviews the Chinese government’s main measures aimed at improving the schooling quality in rural areas, preventing the early dropout of children from poor families and expanding support programs for such students. The article shows how the provisions of the national policy to mitigate educational inequality between rural and urban schools are implemented at the local level. An analysis of the programs implemented by the Chinese government and empirical research
data shows that despite the huge efforts made to improve the
quality of compulsory education, many problems and imbalances
in the rural education system cannot be yet overcome.
